How long does each InCAS module take to complete?

InCAS is a modular suite of timed computer delivered assessments consisting of:

• Reading module (lasting a maximum of 25 minutes)
• General Mathematics module (lasting a maximum of 25 minutes)
• Developed Ability module (lasting a maximum of 25 minutes)
• Spelling module (lasting a maximum of 20 minutes)
• Mental Arithmetic module (lasting a maximum of 20 minutes)
• Attitudes module (lasting a maximum of 10 minutes)

All assessment modules do not have to be completed on the same day.

A student will have a unique 3 character password for each InCAS assessment module (6 passwords in total).

When the maximum time is reached the module will end regardless of whether a student has finished, this is by design.

There is sound with each module so you will need to use a computer with sound enabled. Headphones are usually used but if the assessment is being taken in a quiet room they are not essential.
