We do not recommend retesting a child if their scores seem abnormally high or low. The aim is to capture the most realistic view of a child’s development at the start of the year. However, you may wish to reassess them to obtain a more representative overview if a child was upset or unwell during the assessment, or if there was an unexpected interruption during the assessment.
Please remember you should conduct the assessment within 6 weeks of the child starting school.
