Which qualifications does Alis/CEMIBE provide predictions for?

Not every qualification will appear in your reports because the data sample we receive from all our Alis schools for each qualification must meet a strict set of criteria. If the data sample for a particular qualification does not meet these criteria, it does not appear in the reports. The criteria include sample size (how many students are represented), number of schools represented and the strength of the statistical correlation.

For Alis there are 2 possible baselines from which we produce the predictive and value-added data for students. These are the average (I)GCSE score baseline and the Computer Adaptive Baseline Test (CABT) baseline. Not only is the data sample for each individual qualification analysed separately but the sample for each qualification is split again so that the sample from each baseline is also analysed separately. Therefore, it is possible to see certain qualifications appearing in your reports from one baseline but not the other, both baselines or neither.

There are 3 lists available showing which qualifications have been published. They can be found within your latest suite of Value Added Reports (Reports > Value Added). One shows those published from the average (I)GCSE baseline 0-8 (A*-G scale), one shows those from the average (I)GCSE baseline 0-9 scale and one from the Computer Adaptive Baseline Test (CABT). Therefore, the baseline/s that your students have on their record will need to be taken into consideration when establishing whether or not a particular qualification should be included in your reports for that student.

For example, an A2 German student has no average (I)GCSE score on their record but has done the CABT. The data sample from the CABT for A2 German did not meet the minimum criteria for publication, there will be no A2 German data for that student.

You can most easily see which baselines your students have on their records by looking at the Intake Profile in your predictive reports for the students in question (Reports > Predictive Data). If you scroll down past the graphs, you will come to a list of students with these details displayed.
