There are a variety of reports, some with small differences in how to generate and understand them. Here are some general guidance notes to get you started:
- Log in to Secondary+.
- Select ‘Reports’ and then ‘Data and Reports’.
- Click on the tab titled with the report type you want to access:
- Interactive reports – are our most up to date reports and allow you to engage real time with the report, changing key filters etc.
- Original Excel/PDF reports – allows you to access the original style of reports you might have used before we launched the enhanced Report Centre.
Interactive reports
To open an interactive report, click on the image of the report you’d like to view.
Some reports ask for your filter choices before the report is generated (Standardised Scores Report, Individual Student Report, Report for Parents and Carers, School Band Graph, Historical Band Graph, Seven Band Profile). You can then change the filters by clicking the drop-down boxes above the report.
Some reports generate immediately, and then allow you to change filters once you're in the report by clicking ‘Filter By’ under Report Controls in the top right-hand corner.
Original Excel/PDF reports
To generate an original excel/pdf report:
- Select your academic year and year group from the drop-down lists at the top of the page, then click ‘Load Reports’
- Scroll down to see the reports available to you, and click ‘Download’ to get the report. The report will be downloaded directly to the downloads folder of your device.
- If you want more detailed information about the report, click ‘View Documentation’.
Exporting/downloading the interactive reports
You can export/download the interactive reports. You might want to share them with others or do some further analysis.
Some of the interactive reports (the ones that generate immediately without needing you to choose filters first) have an ‘Export’ option in the Report Controls in the top right-hand corner. Choose the pdf or csv version you want, and it will be downloaded directly to the downloads folder of your device.
Some of the interactive reports (the ones where you choose the filters first) e.g. Standardised Scores Report, Individual Student Report, Parent and Guardian Report have a blue ‘download’ button in the top right-hand corner. Choose the pdf you want, and the system will generate a downloadable version of it.
Next, go back the main 'Data and Reports' screen and select the 'Downloads' tab. The downloadable version of the report will appear here when it’s ready. You can then download it into the downloads folder of your device.
Downloading ‘All Scores’ Spreadsheets
There is also an option within the downloads tab to access all score data for an academic year. You’ll get the data in a spreadsheet in long list format (one row per student per module), so you can add filters and analyse the data in a way that works for you.
To generate this spreadsheet:
- In the ‘Downloads’ tab click the blue ‘New download’ button in the top right corner.
- Select your academic year, export type (which will be ‘Scores’) and create a file name.
- Click ‘Submit’ at the bottom of the screen and wait for your download. Note, the download might take some time to generate.
Once your report has been generated it will appear in the list in the downloads tab.
If you would prefer your scores data in a broadsheet version (one row per student), choose the csv option when you click the blue ‘download’ button in the Standardised Scores interactive report. This csv will be downloaded directly to the downloads folder of your device.
