Overview of Predictions and Chances Reports

Our predictions and chances reports show you how your students are likely to perform in their AS/A Levels or IB Diploma based on their overall score in the Alis baseline assessment. You can use predictions and chances insights to set targets for your students, subjects, departments, and the whole school. These insights also help you to plan the right support and challenge for your students, to help them reach or go beyond their predicted grade outcomes. You could also use the predictions and chances insights to help your students as they make subject choices.

Predictions reports give you a point and grade prediction* for your students. Chances reports give you a fuller picture of how your students might perform in their final exams because you’ll be able to see each student’s probability of achieving each grade outcome. It’s important to use the chances graphs alongside the predictions reports when you’re setting targets for your students. It’s also important to use other data you have and your knowledge of your students to set appropriately challenging targets for them.

*Prediction = average point/grade outcome in that qualification type and subject for past students with the same baseline score: Alis assessment score/(I)GCSE APS (average point score).
