Quick Reference Guide
1. Prepare your file. See Preparing your file for upload for support.
2. Log in to Alis+ or CEM IBE+.
3. Select ‘Exam Results Centre’ from the banner across the top.
4. Choose options from the drop downs for Key Stage, Exam Year, and upload format. Key Stage should remain at Key Stage 5, and exam year will be the year the A level exams were held/awarded. Your file format will depend on your chosen file format (see article in step 1 for more detail).
5. Choose ‘Select file’ from towards the bottom of the page and select the relevant CSV file, then click ‘Upload’
6. You will see a series of ‘mapping’ screens, where you should check (and amend where needed) the ‘Valid Values’ field. Once you’re happy with the fields select ‘Confirm’. Note – the number you see will depend on the file you have uploaded, so you might need to review and ‘Confirm’ several times.
Tip - You could include all 5 examination result fields in your spreadsheet (Board, Option Code, Subject, Qualification and Result) and select the ‘Ignore’ option for qualification type and subject name during the upload process. This will force you to map to board and option code only which is a simpler and more accurate way to map qualifications as some subject names can be ambiguous.
7. If the system identifies any missing information in your file, you will be presented with a screen asking you to fix any ‘errors’. A question mark (?) will appear next to the fields the system detects need action. Select option from the drop downs, or directly type in to the boxes where appropriate. Once you have made all necessary changes, click ‘Confirm’.
You will see a screen saying ‘Results have started loading’ when the upload process is finished. You should check the ‘Match Students’ screen to make sure all students have been matched to one of your records – see Matching results to students for detailed guidance.
