Certificate of Completion for Cambridge Primary Insight

You can now download a Certificate of Completion template.

The certificate explains to students and their parents that Cambridge Insight assessments give teachers insight into a child’s strengths, potential and areas for improvement. These are not grades or a qualification – the certificate is just an acknowledgement of completing the assessment.

How to use the Certificate template

Step 1

Create an Excel spreadsheet with the columns of your students and the date they completed the assessment. Use the headings:

• Name (e.g. Joe Blogs)
• Date (e.g. 01/09/2025)

Save the file somewhere easy to find.

Step 2  

Download and open the Certificate file in Word (attached below).

Go to the Mailings tab and select Start Mail Merge > Letters.

Click Select Recipients > Use an Existing List.

Browse to your Excel file and select it. Make sure you have selected the correct worksheet and press OK.

Step 3

On the certificate, click where you want to insert the Name.

Click Insert Merge Field > Name.

Do the same for the Date field.

Step 4

Click Preview Results to see how the certificates will appear for each student.

Click Finish & Merge.

Choose Print Documents or Edit Individual Documents to save them as a new file.
